Hi, my name is Madelyn Konrade and I am currently a student at Washburn University. I have been a nanny for many years as a side job to make extra cash. I was a nursing student, but I decided it wasn’t for me and right now I am majoring in healthcare management. I love kids and I have had a lot of great experience throughout my life. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered in the hospital in the NICU as well as the Pediatric Center. I worked as a life guard for 4 years in high school. I am also currently a head coach for club volleyball. I have also been a nanny since I was 16 years old. So I have had 7 years of experience. I also took care of three premature babies as well as a 3 year old and 5 year old all at once. I gain a lot of experience through that job as well. I have also cared for a hospice patient and was with him until the end of his days and that was definitely a different experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going on walks, riding bikes, playing board games, going to the pool, playing at the park as well as doing fun art projects.

Is providing the best care for the children you are taking care of.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with an Autistic girl who was 10 years old for about a year and I loved it. I gained a lot of knowledge from this experience. I also worked with mentally disabled adults at the pool.
