I was a live in nanny for a year before my family moved to another state. Since then I have cared for special needs children and other families that needed last minute assistance. I have worked in an elementary school and currently nanny for a family with 3 children who will be moving in may.

I love going to local parks and swimming. I believe that children need to spend a good amount of time outside instead of being inside on electronics. I also like to do crafts with children.

I believe that the most important thing about being a nanny is responsibility. but there are so many things that are important, you need to let the kids have fun and also provide for their needs and care for them.
My experience with special needs children...
My nephew has a feeding tube and i watched him for about a month while his mom was in school. I also have watched children with learning and speech disabilities. there was this one girl who i watched until she moved away and she was disabled.
The most important part about being a nanny...
one of my favorite moments with the kids that i babysit or nanny is Just watching them be kids. one time i took this little girl and boy to a river and they had such a blast and they learned about the different birds and i let them each take a rock home and once we were home we painted the rocks and they joy on these kids' faces just made my day. they had never done anything like that and then because they started to like rocks so much i bought them each a rock collection. it has been about a year now and their mother just recently texted me and told me how special these rocks are to her children.
