For me the most important part about caring for kids is treating them like humans. Having normal conversations and not talking down to them, or talking in a baby voice. I value their opinions the same way I would a peers and this helps me form relationships with them.

I have been taking classes for the past 2 years educating me on special needs children. I also am in a special education classroom part time for my schooling.
