Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I'm not the biggest fan of screens, as they can be addicting and have a negative impact on one's mental well-being. Activities that I enjoy are any activities that enrich one's mental and physical growth. Some activities I enjoy are walks, art, music, reading, writing, random small competitions, baking, cooking, and sports (I was a band kid so I'll be sure to lose whatever competition takes place, lol). I love trying new things so whatever interests the children have, I'm more than happy to be engaged and promote!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is ensuring that all physical and mental needs are being met. To do so, it's important to establish a routine, as consistency plays a big role in a child's life. Additionally, the understanding of how to deescalate a situation is CRUCIAL. Negative emotions that a child may feel after misbehaving must be validated. However, bad behavior cannot be excused. Utilizing positive reinforcement open communication is the strategy I intend to use in deescalating situations.
