I have five younger siblings, and three younger cousins. I am the eldest in my family and in my neighborhood. My siblings are ages 8-16, and my cousins are 4-15, so I've worked with all of their age ranges

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy arts and crafts, science projects, animated movies, telling stories, and playing outdoors, with chalk and water and bikes. I would also turn cleaning into a child-involves activity, age willing. Children will help clean counters, clean up dishes from meals, and sweep up. Chores are an important skill that help out a lot in life.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making the kids feel secure is a large part about watching over then. If they don't trust you, they don't listen to you. I hope to be understanding and open to every child's emotions, but it's difficult to do that when they don't trust you enough to tell you.
My experience with special needs children...
I have never cared for a special needs child, but I am very interested in and understanding of child psychology, and able to gracefully handle meltdowns and tantrums.
