Being a fun and exciting part of their life’s. Allowing yourself to be a safe place for the child when their main source of comfort (parent) is not there. It’s important to me that they are kids, play like kids.

Well, when i worked in a daycare a took care of a little boy and he was non-verbal. His mom told me that when they would arrive to drop him off, at 6:30am, he would let go of her hand to run to my classroom, because he knew i was in there. She told me it made her feel better about leaving him in a daycare because he felt loved, safe, cared for and understood.
