A little bit about me

Hello! I am a "newly grad" and recent resident of the Charlotte SouthEnd area as of March 2022. As a student, I studied Graphic Design and Marketing at High Point University in High Point, NC! I was heavily involved holding the title of captain for HPU's D1 dance team. I was also involved with Greek Life and HPU Recreation. I used to dance competitively for 15-plus years and taught dance to children of all ages. That's where I truly found my love for kids! I am the oldest of 3 siblings and used to be on a pre-med track so, I am CPR and first aid certified. Personality wise, I love being outdoors and staying active. I enjoy crafts and DIY projects. I love being able to mentor kids and am a natural organizer so, I am willing to do housekeeping as well. Can't wait to be in touch!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I taught dance to kids of ages 3-12. My class sizes were typically 8-10 kids at a time.
I used to babysit in high school whenever I could. I mostly babysat for 2 kids ages 3-6.
I babysat on multiple New Years for 8 kids at a time, ages 7-14.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Outdoor games such as; wiffle ball, volleyball, base/softball, basketball(knockout game, around the world, HORSE), riding bikes, drawing with sidewalk chalk

Indoor games such as; hide & seek, who can clean their room the fastest, painting/drawing, puzzles, card games, barbies/dolls, legos

Engaging with the kids and following the guidelines that the parents set in place are the most important parts of nannying for me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I was babysitting two younger kids, the boy was around 3, and the girl was around 5. Their parents had been having trouble with finding nannies their kids liked, and after spending a fun evening with the kids full of drawing games and a movie before bedtime, I got a call from the parents saying that their kids had been asking when I was going to come back nonstop. That really warmed my heart and assured me and the parents that I had done a good job with their kids.
