Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience working as a summer camp counselor for kids ages 6-12+. I also had a job working as a nanny prior, to a beautiful boy (0-2) which involved a handful of overnight stays and a month out of state with the family! They still contact me when needed. I have also helped a lovely family with two young boys, whom i absolutely adored!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some indoor/outdoor activities i enjoy doing with children include but not limited to : reading, art projects, science projects, board/card games, playing an instrument, watching movie or playing video games, going for a walk/playing in the yard, going to the park, cooking/baking, swimming, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
You get to watch a child grow, which is very rewarding! Patience is also very important when being a nanny, mood swing happen and sometimes children will become upset if things don’t go exactly their way. So it’s always important to remain calm, curious, and patient!
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with a young boy (5/6) with nonverbal autism. I also have 1+ years experience working as a CNA for the elderly diagnosed with schizophrenia, dementia, in the memory care unit, etc. As a summer camp counselor we had a handful of campers with special needs and i always helped with medications and more, during camp hours.
