A little bit about me

Hello I'm Maddie and I'm 18! I'm looking for some nanny jobs to help start my career! I'll follow any rules\guidelines set by parents and guardians and I'm a fun loving person! I do a lot of art related things in my free time so I would love doing arts and crafts with the kids and I'm always down for playing board games! I can also help younger kids with schoolwork and older kids as well (although math isn't my strong suit, I'm pretty good at everything else). I've been babysitting family and friend's kids throughout my teen life and I'm currently working on getting CPR\First Aid certified (currently doing a class) and getting my driver's license. I do have a ride to take me to places and in case of emergencies though and I do know first aid as my mom was a nurse and I used to read her textbooks and stuff, I'm just not certified for it yet. I'm really looking into either being a teacher or some sort of caregiver and this is something I would really love to do! Thank you for your time!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I used to go to a Bible school and volunteer to help plan events, lessons, crafts, meals, and games for the younger children and teens at the Bible school (it went from preschool ages to highschool ages) and I also helped plan school events for middle school and highschool all throughout highschool. I also have a LOT of relatives and I'm the oldest one in my family so I've babysat family and friends of family from ages 3-15 throughout my teenage life.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love arts and crafts, reading, telling stories, playing games, watching movies, and just about anything fun! I also really like teaching things too! I don't really like long walks and I'm not great at sports but I love to swim and dance!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me is that the children have a fun and safe environment to learn and be themselves. There's a lot of parents that work really hard and need someone to help while they work or just while they take a break or have a date night from working all the time. It's always nice to have a little help and if I can provide that to a family that means a lot to me! I think it's good for kids to learn new things and explore their interests whether it's the arts, sports, or whatever else they decide to do! I want to provide a fun safe environment for kids to just be kids and give them some guidance along the way!

My experience with special needs children...

I don't have much experience with special needs children as a job, but I have some family and friends that are special needs. I'm a very patient and understanding person so I've always had a great time helping them with anything and making things fun :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

I remember one time I was babysitting my little cousin (who was 6 at the time) and we had a huge karaoke dance party to the Frozen soundtrack (because she was OBSESSED with frozen at the time) and it was such a fun experience and after that she told me I was her favorite cousin cause I had fun dance parties with her and that really warmed my heart and it meant so much to me!
