I worked with two deaf children in a mainstream kindergarten classroom. I supported them and helped aid them in their day to day activities, ensuring they never felt out of place. I was also responsible for expanding their language and communication skills in both english and ASL (American Sign Language).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love spending time outdoors with children, from parks to local activities and pool time in the summer! I try to spend as much time as possible outside with children, as I see a very distinct difference in their mood and behavior (as well as mine!) I also enjoy rainy days full of books, toys, and snuggles! I strongly believe in limiting screen time as much as possible, for many families i’ve helped cut screen time down to under 30 mins a week.

I have experience with special needs through my Deaf/Hard of Hearing Paraprofessional position in a mainstream kindergarden classroom. I also have experience with children with autism and other developmental/social delays!
