Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m always ready for a fashion show, I try to encourage creative-play based activities. I’m an artist who loves making crafts of any kind. Science experiments that are kid friendly are a fan favorite. I know a lot about nature so I enjoy sharing that with kids, it’s important to encourage their love for knowledge. I have won first place at every blanket fort competition I’ve ever been involved in. Board games? Absolutely! Don’t have any? Let’s make our own with markers and some cardboard. I’m always up for a new challenge!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for many children who are neurodiverse thinkers from all areas of the spectrum from severe anxiety or adhd to severe autism. I have learned a lot about neurodiversity and the different ways to approach life’s obstacles as a neurodiverse thinker. I am blessed to have more than one neurodiverse family member & each one brings something beautiful to my life in their own unique way.
