Hi! I’m MaKaila, and I love kids of all ages! I’ve got 8 siblings and have been babysitting since I was 12, so I’m very familiar will all ages and personalities! Spending time with kids gives me a purpose in life, and I truly believe it’s what I’m meant to do! I was in the military for 4 years, and I have been a full time nanny since getting out. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology, working toward an Early Childhood Care certification, and I previously graduated a course for event planning. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been consistently babysitting and nannying since the age of 12 with children of all ages and needs.
I was a special needs teachers assistant in high school for 2 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being active with children and taking them to explore and make fun memories!

I also love arts and crafts, and music holds a special place in my heart. I believe creativity helps mold children in the most positive way imaginable!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love creating fun memories with children so that parents don’t have to be stressed when leaving their child with someone else, and the child is excited to have their buddy come hang out with them every day. Helping to foster creativity, imagination, independence, and intelligence is the most amazing thing to see manifest day by day with the children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a sister with epilepsy and autism. I have been nannying a 10 year old with autism for the past 2 years. I have babysat many children with different special needs during my time of babysitting, and volunteered during school many times supervising special needs events such as; special Olympics bowling, weekly Circle Of Friends get-together.

The most important part about being a nanny...

This past summer, my girls’ dad was deployed. Having me there 12 hour days, 4 days a week was a lot. The girls one day just looked at me and said “sometimes you’re like a sister, but you’re just the best nanny we ever had” nothing warmed my heart quite like having a kid (who is always very bluntly honest as they all are) tell me they thought highly of me. The bond I created and still with those girls is the most rewarding feeling in the world.
