"Makayla was an absolute pleasure! She went above and beyond to ensure not only our baby girl was taken care of, but our fur baby as well. She went out of her way to learn through guides and videos about our child’s developmental milestones ahead of time. She would implement different exercises, activities, and age-appropriate learnings to foster our baby’s growth and well-being. She treated our baby like her own, and the only regret we have is her needing to leave for school - but we are so happy to see her thrive and do great things! I can’t recommend her enough, and I’m happy to discuss further if any prospective employers need a reference."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have a couple nieces and nephews i’ve taken care of who have lived with me. I also used to nanny a neighbors toddler for a couple hours a day while she worked until he was about 5. I’m surrounded with kids and great with all age groups. I am versed in learning disabilities, selective mutism, anxiety disorders etc.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to be in nature and introduce new aspects of our environment to little-detecting minds. Crafts, music, and games are the best ways to discover kids personalities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I find the most important part about being a nanny is creating trust between you and your family. This includes the house, children, and parents.
My experience with special needs children...
I grew up very close with a couple of my friends that had special needs. My family is full of Psychiatrists and therapists and due to that, I am well-versed in different comforting, and redirecting tactics when someone is in distress. My second to last position was with a 13 year old boy with Asperger's. I learned a plethora of skills and perspectives from my time spent with him!
The most important part about being a nanny...
This has to be a tie between waking up a beautiful little baby from their nap and being the first thing they see and watching a child learn something from you teaching them.
