Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I had to take care of a 4-6 year old and make sure she was fed, put to bed and entertained while making sure her mother had the space to get ready for work, do pre-work workouts and clean up after the young girl. THe young girl always had a hard time processing why she couldn't go with her mother to work so I would usually sit her down and help her regulate and we would usually come to a compromise where we would play her favorite games or watch her favorite movie and stay up till her mom got home. Usually she would fall asleep before it got to that point though. Then I would clean the kitchen and play area before her mom got home.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
We can out to a park (if nearby) and I would love to teach them about plants and ecosystems as I learned about them in scouts growing up.
We also could have craft time where we can draw or build things out of popsicle sticks etc. I am also patient with kids so if they are having hard time we can have time patiently learn how to communicate what is frustrating them.
