My experience with special needs children...
I grew up living next to a young boy with special needs he was 2 years older than me but we had a close bond. His teacher aids actually like when I was present during his lectures because I kept him interested. Later on maybe a year or 2 after meeting him I taught him how to read. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for him.
