One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a child I cared for learn to read on their own. We would sit together every day and practice, and I’d turn it into a fun game so it never felt like work. The day they proudly read a full page by themselves and ran to show their parent was such a rewarding moment for me. Seeing their confidence grow reminded me why I love working with kids.
