More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked as a private tutor; an elementary educator; a childcare supervisor at a commercial stadium; a childcare assistant in a church nursery; and a summer camp counselor.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of my favorite ways to play with children are through outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and baking. I believe that the best play happens when a caretaker immerses themselves in the child's world and gets on their level to maximize the fun. I actively engage with children by looking for new ways to help them explore the world around them while always prioritizing their safety and health.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have worked as a nanny since I was 14 years old. I’ve cared for kids of all backgrounds in all kinds of homes, teaching them how to swim; how to eat solid food; and how to velcro their shoes. I remember every single child and every single family. I remember the days when I was so tired I read books from memory with my eyes closed. I can recall times when I sang lullabies until I had a sore throat because a child was struggling to sleep. Being a nanny means investing part of yourself: your time, your energy, and your love into something bigger than you. The most important part of my job is being of service to my clients and gaining the trust of the children under my care by doing my job well
My experience with special needs children...
I cared for one preschooler with mental and verbal development delays 3 days a week in a private home for 4 months. I helped the child develop positive self-image through strengths-based praise and gradual responsibility. I also taught positive conflict resolution techniques including controlled breathing, visualization, and “I feel” statements.
The most important part about being a nanny...
After a long day of crafting with glitter glue and feathers, baking homemade sugar cookies, or designing the world's coolest backyard obstacle course, I leave my clients' homes exhausted but happy. Full hands, full heart, is what I like to say.

I am a bubbly mother of 1 that seems to be playing on the ground with the kids at any family function. My hobbies include teaching horseback riding lessons, creating fun learning curriculums for my toddler, cooking from scratch, and leading the children’s singing time at my church! I am creative, good in sticky situations, and believe life should be lived with minimal screen time for the kids!
The ideal work situation for my life would be to help care for a family that would allow me to bring my 2 year old daughter with me.
