Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I serve at my church every Sunday taking care of the ages 0-5. Have babysat children in the past, taking care of four children at most. Ages ranged between 0-13. I have also gone to Mexico to care for a child that was 11. I have yet to work in a daycare/teaching environment officially, however I do help with homework at home. Did tutoring for ages 7-13.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Arts and crafts (drawing, painting, creating with paper). Building legos and other hands-on toys. Playing with cars, dolls or even hosting fashion shows. Dance parties, and listening to music. I’m big on outdoor things like nature walks, hiking, bikes etc. Reading books or telling stories. Playing games like popcorn on a trampoline. Helping with school projects, homework or creative assignments.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Going to Mexico to babysit a child and getting to experience a whole culture with her. Walking around, shopping and going to the beach with each other. To this day I have a picture of her holding a monkey that we saw while walking the streets with each other. I got to teach her the things I did know or picked up on. I had lots of fun with her going to the pool, playing games. She was even my brunch buddy.
