I was a preschool teacher for 3.5 years. I started as an aide, working part-time after school, and full-time in the summers. Immediately after high school, I became a full-time 1 year-old-teacher. After a few months, I became a 3-year-old teacher, and ended my last 4 months being a 2-year-old teacher. I also worked some extra hours for the church in our building. I helped lead youth group during after school hours once a week for kids 6-13. I also lead the Sunday nursery room, for kids 1-7. I’m CPR and First-aid trained, and have my food handlers, all from the state of Oregon. Since moving to Maine, I’ve earned my BHP, and RBT certifications. I currently work with 3-5 year olds with neurological disabilities such as autism, and down syndrome. I have the resilience, patience, and empathy these loving children require. I’ve got oodles of experience, and education that I would love to put to use.
