Seeing the kids grow and learn through different actvities and tools. I loved hearing the kids I nannied for say the correct color or shape when doing different learning activities!
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with a 7 year old boy who has a learning disability, verbal impairments, and a seizure disorder for 8 months. During that time, he wore a helmet in case he had any drop seizures to protect his head from any damage. We learned fun ways to communicate with each other and I saw him learning and growing every day! I felt very comfortable in my care for him, and we had a blast trying arts and crafts, puzzles, and fort-building!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was setting up picnics outdoors for my kids and seeing how much fun we could have doing something outside of our normal schedule!
