Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a daycare teacher. Youngest was a 4 month old then taught and cared for kids all the way up to 13years old. I also babysit for my family quite a lot. From 2weeks old to 17 year olds. I dont have certifications to handle special needs children but at my daycare I was able to calm down my students who had meltdowns pretty fast. Im also really good with toddler tantrums. Im a mother of a 13 month old and I dont mean to toot my own horn but im doing a pretty good job at keeping her healthy and learning. Shes already running around the house and sounding out letters.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love singing to them, or dancing with them, I also enjoy coloring with them and making crafts. I use to plan a craft a week at my old daycare job. Id also bring puzzles for the kids to work on with me. They started out with 24 pieces and by the time I left we completed a 2000 puzzle in 2 weeks. I also loved bringing my switch and playing video games with them. It was mainly Mario kart and just dance but with my family I play all kinds of games. When I had to watch my sisters I really liked giving them mini makeovers.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think its important to not just watch the kids but to really connect with them. Get down to their level and really show them youre listening and you care. There's no such thing as dumb questions. There's no talking to much. There's just a time and place to do those things. Its also important kids feel safe enough to express themselves and be themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have too many but I have to say the two that stand out is when I first started I sat down with the kids and got to know them. They were all so excited to tell me their names and birthdays their favorite things. I loved it. And then the second one is more funny. A little boy in my class was coming in excited about winning his race at his school and he was showing off his medal then I jokingly said "I couldnt do that im too fat" and he said "yeah like Kung fury panda." The way I couldnt stop laughing. Im not really big but the fact kids have no filter is just so funny to me. I sat down with him later and said he cant say that to others because some wont find it funny but to me it was hilarious.
