Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in many areas of childcare. I have been the teacher of many church groups, VBS, and summer camps. I’ve worked at a day care along with being a nanny for over 20 years. I’ve nannied multiples, newborns, special needs and groups . I’ve done weekends, overnights and week longs. I substitute when time permits grades K-5.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of my favorite activities to do with my kids are reading, games, art projects, free play and imagination play. I love to do as much outside and with nature as weather permits. Music days, library days, singing and dancing days. Baking days, experiment days.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Giving the children the support and love they need to flourish and grow and feel safe while their parents/parent works . I just pick up where the parent leaves off and vise versa.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with my church’s Special Needs Loving Hands program which gives parents and caregivers a reprieve for a few hours while we love on and play and take care off their children.
