Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

When I worked at a children play pit where I had to supervise the children and make sure they were far from safety hazards at all times. Another time I cared for children I once cared for a toddler who was full of energy and was curious about things around the house 24/7. I kept him entertained with fun activities like coloring and storytime, making sure he was engaged and happy. When it was time for a meal, I helped him eat and cleaned up afterward. I also made sure he was safe at all times, whether we were playing or winding down for a nap. It was a great experience that taught me patience, responsibility, and the joy of caring for children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love spending time with kids and making sure they’re happy and engaged. Indoors, I enjoy reading stories with them, doing arts and crafts, or having a fun movie night with snacks and blankets. I also like playing board games or building forts it’s always a great way to see their creativity & also build origami & watch child friendly movies with snacks. Outdoors, I love taking them on little nature walks, playing tag, or just blowing bubbles and drawing with sidewalk chalk. No matter what we’re doing, I always try to make it fun, safe, and something they’ll enjoy and remember.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is making a child feel safe, loved, and understood. It’s not just about watching them it’s about building trust, being patient, and making sure they know they can count on you. Kids learn and grow best when they feel secure, so whether it’s comforting them when they’re sad, cheering them on when they try something new, or just making them laugh, those little moments matter. It’s about being someone they feel happy and safe with.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was helping a little boy overcome his fear of the dark. Every night, he’d get really nervous at bedtime, so we came up with a fun idea were we decorated a flashlight and called it his “bravery light.” That night, instead of being scared, he held onto tight and told , “I’m not afraid anymore.” The look on his face was very confident . It was such a small thing but seeing him feel safe and confident made my heart so full. Moments like that are why I love this job & children.
