I have a school time job 1 to 5pm every day. Seeking an additional 10-15 hours a week occasional work: date nights, overnights, sick days, holidays. 100% children focused, up to 2 children, planning events, playing games, reading books, going on trips, taking to activities. Clean up after activities/meals. Rarely use the phone. Cook Italian food, vegetarian, American, children's food. Cook with children if interested. Eldest of five children, often watched 2 siblings. 1st job at age 10 for a 5-year-old while the parents had date nights. Age 14, babysat 2 girls F-S-S, plus 2 bus trip to/from their home. Aunt to 10, babysat 3 or 6 at a time. I mentored three children in foster care, also 400 preteens. Interests vary as I love learning: science, history, computers, geography, travel, gardening, music, playing games with children, going to various parks, museums. Work must be fun. Will not take a job if it's only about being a chauffeur.

Mixture of drive, teach, arts/crafts, swimming, parks, museums and more. I like doing things with children outside the home or inside it.

Having fun. I will not work with a family just as a driver.

My experience with special needs children...

I have ADHD, so I'm good with children who have it. I have worked with children with major anger issues a few times, but prefer to not do that in the future on a usual basis.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When a teacher told me that me helping "x" child has made a major difference in her emotionally. i.e. she's smiling more, more jolly during the day and participates more.
