A little bit about me

Hi! I’m Maria and I’m a 25 year old registered nurse. I’m compassionate and energetic, and I’m looking to find part-time work doing what I love: working with kids! I believe children are the light in this world. I have been a registered nurse for two years, and I previously worked as a daycare instructor for Groton Public Schools. I feel I was born to care for others! I’ve worked with kids infant age to 13 as a nanny and daycare teacher. I’ve worked with both general education children as well as those with special needs. I am CPR, ACLS, First Aid and BLS certified. I also have a license, nine years of driving experience, and reliable transportation. I’m very passionate and will put my heart into any position I’m given! :)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Worked directly with children in the Emergency Department at Westerly Hospital as well as in pediatric settings in nursing school. I have also worked as a Daycare Instructor, completed volunteer work with children at local churches, and am certified in CPR/First Aid for children and infants.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Sports and outdoor activities (going on walks, playing soccer, and more!), reading, helping with school work.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is having compassion. With compassion, it’s easier to have patience as well as be able to enforce rules when needed. A happy and safe environment is always the goal!

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with a plethora of children with special needs at my daycare instructor position for Groton Public Schools.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love doing whatever I can to make little ones laugh; whether it’s telling jokes or making silly faces.
