More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have helped to care for children of all ages since I was 10 years old, my aunt owns a childcare service and I helped out there with all the chores, schoolwork, cooking, changing diapers, anything she needed. I worked in the childcare rooms at Sunday church services as well as some part time nanny positions for friends and family.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to turn ordinary days in to extraordinary experiences! Water balloons fights, picnics, camping, bike rides, are all outdoor activities that I love to do in the summer. But for those rainy days there is always snuggling up under a homemade tent for a movie and popcorn. But only after homework of course! Besides that I love to read, write, do arts and crafts and play board games!

The most important part about being a nanny is by far the way the children view you. If they just view you as an authoritative figure you will never create that special bond with the child. They need to view you as a sort of older sibling while still giving you the respect of a parental figure.

I think my favorite moment had to be when I was playing hide and seek with this one little girl and her sister. And me and the youngest girl were hiding together while her older sister was looking for us. And she was giggling so much that the older girl found us. And the little one jumped up and hugged her sister and they were both so happy. And that was it. Just making them happy was enough to make me happy. Because that’s why I do what I do. It’s not about the big things, it’s about the small ways you can make a difference in the children’s lives.
