I have a history of 8 years of babysitting, from infants to pre-teens, I am CPR certified, I am currently in medical training at the Maxwell School of Technology, and I have experience with autistic toddlers, as my baby brother is autistic and I take care of him, as well as work with him to teach sign language, and motor skills. I can cook anything with a recipe, and love cleaning, and I can help with tutoring. I am willing to do live-in nannying, but I require a 3 day paid trial run with the child. Understanding the child/children, and how they function, and what their triggers are the most important things to me as a nanny. The better you understand the children the more likely you are to get them to cooperate and they are less likely to have emotional outbursts because the feel understood.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a 3 year old autistic brother named Legend who I work with teaching him sign language, basic motor skills, practicing talking, and site words. I have been working with Legend since December of 2020(when he was 6 months), when he was struggling with walking and talking. Legend is 3 years old now, walking, climbing, uses excellent non-verbal communication, and has made immense progress in his verbal communication.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was babysitting a 2 year old boy, I had taken him to the park during the spring and he walked around the park picking flowers for me, and walked up to me, gave them to me, and said my name for the first time.
