More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked with toddlers (age 1-3) in two different Montessori preschools. I have also been a paraprofessional in a kindergarten class for children with Down Syndrome. In the summer, I am a director at a sleepaway camp for children and adults with disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Angelman syndrome, and other I/DD.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love exploring and playing outside, doing arts and crafts, and playing pretend in child-lead activities. I have over one school year of experience in Montessori programming with toddlers as well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Supporting someone in becoming the best little person they can be!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children and adults with disabilities in many different settings, as a paraprofessional, as a DSP in a group home, as a peer support person in college, and most of all at my summer camp. I am a program director at a sleepaway camp for children and adults with disabilities, and I have been involved in some way in every area of camp.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Connecting with a child is my favorite part of childcare.
