A little bit about me

I am a caring and outgoing person! I love to laugh and make others laugh. Kids bring me joy! The little things they do, learning, exploring and just be carefree! I love music and I think it’s important in the growth of a child as well as reading and playing. I like to cook because I like to eat and I also LOVE to feed others! I am an intuitive healer so a lot of things I just know! I don’t ever want to step on anyone’s toes which is why I don’t talk about what I do. I am here to give you an extra set of hands while also providing the children with love and support!

Anne
"Of all of our sitters and nannies, Miss Marquise had made the most special, meaningful connection with our daughter. She has an amazing personality and a very special way of connecting with kids that make them want to follow her every lead. My daughter still wants to visit with Miss Marquise every time she comes to town and that fact that Miss Marquise makes that a priority means she will always hold a special place in our family’s heart. We still miss her dearly!!"

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience working in elementary schools as a lead teacher, a floating teacher, kitchen cook, tutoring supervisor, and a tutor. I also have worked in daycare centers and a Catholic school in the preschool/preK building, then afterschool transitioning to the after school care program which I ran solo for 1.5 yrs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love anything that has to do with HEALING
Arts and crafts
Music & singing
Going to the park
Doing yoga
Riding bikes
SWIMMING!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being present. Life is going to keep going but it’s the little moments that make the bigger picture. If those little moments aren’t too fun or upbeat enough or just bad vibes it helps shape the child. We want happy kids! Loving kids! Kind kids! Tough kids! Great well rounded kids! Ready to take on this crazy world and change it for the better!

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children with special needs. I don’t like labeling a child before stating they are a child so I’m a little offended by the wording of this question. However, my 2nd job I worked as an inclusion counselor at a summer camp. I worked solely with children with disabilities, making sure they were included and involved in the activities of the camp and making sure they had a memorable summer!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is any kind of act of service I provide and the child is overfilled with joy and the parents are happy with it as well. I have braided hair for an example, or cooking a nice meal the parents got to come home and enjoy too!

Hi I have Supervised, supported and provided direction to children in a Rapid Assessment Residence for "hard to place" and MRDD children while also keeping records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered. There’s nothing better than seeing children’s faces light up each time they learn something. It brings endless joy! Also, because you’re spending so much time with the children it allows you to experience the child’s transformation first hand.
