At nearly 65 years young, I am the proud mother of 3 successful adult children and a grandmother to 3 amazing grandchildren.
With my experience owning and running a daycare, I am passionate about reading to all children, starting with children of all ages, believing this fosters a love of reading and stimulates their creative imagination.

Additionally, I am well-versed in baby sign language, a tool that aids infants in communicating their wants and needs early on, thus promoting early speech development.

I have a great love for children, especially the little ones. Therefore, I am a Guardian ad Litem Volunteer Advocate and am dedicated to advocating for the best interests of children, who are abruptly removed from their home and placed into the foster care system. This requires a Level 2 background check and am a mentor for these children.

I have had the opportunity to go into several schools as an extra set of hands when a child is having difficulty grasping the school curriculum. In my eyes, there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing a child’s eyes light up when they discover they have learned a new skill set. This helps to promote a child’s self-esteem and a love of learning.

My hope is to make a positive impact on the lives of children and make this world a better place.

I have a genuine passion for working with children, and I believe in creating enriching experiences for them.
I enjoy activities like reading, solving puzzles, playing games and involving them in cooking or baking activities.
Additionally, I strongly believe that children should have regular outdoor time, depending on the weather. Outdoor activities such as going on a walk, playing at a park, engaging in ball games, or swimming, not only promote physical health but also stimulate a connection with nature. I believe in creating a well rounded experience for children, balancing indoor and outdoor activities to support a child’s holistic development.

The most important part about being a nanny is that I can be one of the people in a child’s life who can make a positive impact in the entire family’s life. I strive to fit into the family’s routine and make sure everyone is comfortable, including mom and dad returning to work and being comfortable with me caring for their family.

My favorite moment caring for a child was when the child’s birthday was approaching and the child stated to his mother that he couldn’t wait for his party because he knew I would be there with him.
That was so very heartwarming to me to hear.
