A little bit about me

I am a wife and mom. Raising children is our gift from God to all of us!. (It takes a village!) Children are precious to Him and to my family. Children should not be left alone due to their immaturity/youthfulness and their safety. Most recently I have been in healthcare, but I want to change at this time. I also worked at Walmart in my area. When I left a position I give 2 weeks notice. A good day to me with children is a variety of things... We read stories together and we can act them out. We can play we are the characters in that story. We can do arts and crafts, and that might be paper and glue, play dough or making cookies. We can take walks outside and play on the swings. We can collect leaves. We can collect stones and paint them. My husband and I have been married for 35 years. We met in the USAF. and are each other's best friend. No grandchildren yet but maybe one day? I am always looking for ways to stay busy and knowing He (the Lord)created me for something bigger.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I cared for families in Maryland. I can furnish you with phone numbers if you so desire. I was military and met my hubby there. We are here now in Michigan about 10. years. I love kids and reading to them books and playing out the characters in the books. I have worked here with St. Joseph County Pathfinder kids and for schools in Mendon.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

putting a blanket on the kitchen table and playing in the tent, reading a story, singing nice songs (vocabulary friendly), telling stories, writing with chalk on the driveway, collecting fall leaves, having a tea party
