Hi! I’m Matisyn, and I have about five years of experience working with children. For the past 3 1/2 years, I’ve worked at a daycare where I’ve had the opportunity to work with pretty much every age group, from infants all the way up through preschool. Over the years, I’ve also moved into a management role, which has given me a lot of experience not only caring for children but also communicating with parents, helping teachers, handling different situations, and learning what it really takes to create a safe and happy environment for kids. I genuinely love every age group and feel like there is something so special about each stage of childhood. I also really enjoy working with multiple children and actually thrive in busy households!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m definitely someone who loves getting down on the floor and playing with the kids. I love crafts, messy play, sensory activities, getting outside, reading books, and letting kids use their imagination. At the same time, I really believe children do best when they have some structure and consistency. I like finding ways to make everyday things fun while still helping children learn, grow, and become more independent. I’m a big believer that the environment we create around children can have such a huge impact on their happiness, confidence, and overall well-being.

The most important part of being a nanny to me is being someone a family can truly trust with the most important part of their lives-their children. I want parents to feel at peace knowing their kids are safe, loved, listened to, and genuinely cared for when they’re not there.
