Hello everyone. My experience started at the age of 12 is when I started babysitting and it took off from there. At the age of 18 I was so lucky to be a nanny for a good friend of mine who a daughter,I started to watch her from the age of two months old until she was four and started school where I still watched after school, and next there I am taking her to elementary school and then I was helping her with her homework. The time flew thats why I mention it like that. Before you knew it I was watching her walk down the aisle. In between all of this i.was a military wife, so when we moved to Texas I became a nanny for a three years old and a two month old who i.watched for about a year till be got stationed somewhere else. I am a single mom of two girls,I had the honor of playing the role of mom and dad,with that being said a lot of my experience comes from being a mother myself. When you become a nanny you take care of and love that child as if they are your own.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite activity is of course going for long walks,weather permitting. Walks to feed the ducks or a day on the playground. Reading book's,playing all age appropriate activities. During the summer taking a nice long walk on the boardwalk. Tummy time and so much more.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating a bond with the parents and the children. When mom and dad leave for work I want them to truly be at ease and comfortable with whom they are leaving there precious cargo with, this goes for the children as well, I want them to feel and know that they are in a safe haven with me when mommy and daddy leave for work
My experience with special needs children...
I do have an autistic godson who i used to watch when he got home from school. I know the amount of patience you must have and you have to be more intuitive to thier needs and wants
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments are holding a baby. There is no better feeling then that.
