I have my BA Psychology, focusing on child and adolescent development from UT Tyler. I plan on continuing my education to earn a MA. I have 4 years of paid childcare and pet care experience. I have experience with multiple children at a time, including children with learning difficulties and/or attention deficit disorder. I love to read & write, and am very very proud of my bookshelf! I also have two fur babies, so I spend most of my free time with my pups or writing! I work a part-time job at an art studio with very flexible hours, for fun on the side. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Working as a full-time nanny for 4 years. I also have multiple young children in my life that I care for not as a job, but just because. I enjoy their imaginations, and willingness to learn new things. I also feel the work is extremely rewarding.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

We love spending time outside, as long as the weather is decent of course. There are plenty of parks around Tyler that are small enough to feel comfortable taking children too! On great behavior days we may get ice cream or another sweet treat. Academics are extremely important to me so schoolwork will always be a priority!

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have any paid experience with special needs children, however, I am confident in my ability to adapt in whatever way is needed for the child’s benefit. I am patient, excellent at multi tasking, quick at problem solving, and have the ability to thrive under pressure.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Just watching my middle child come out of his shell in extra curriculars, make friends, and engage more in conversations was really rewarding to watch. He has struggled with socialization for awhile, so seeing those changes has been really heartwarming.
