More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Along with previous years of babysitting/nannying, I was an intern for SingOut! Theatre Company for three years where I’ve worked with and taught large groups of kids aging 4-14. I previously worked with the Peter Pan Foundation which works with children’s hospitals in order to bring joy to sick kids. Through this program I have spent a lot of time around kids. I also assisted teachers at the Old Firehouse School in their preschool and kindergarten classes to teach the children and keep them engaged during online class. I’ve also worked in the pediatric ward of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital where I assisted in providing care and therapeutic intervention for children with disabilities. Currently I work as an assistant counselor at a middle school and I also am assisting with developmental lab research in young children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing crafts (drawing, painting, friendship bracelets, etc.) and playing games (hide and seek, scavenger hunt, tag, etc.). Also, baking, sidewalk chalk and playing outdoor sports.

The most important part about being a nanny...

In my opinion the most important part of being a nanny is making sure the children are having fun in a safe and healthy way. It can be difficult for some children being away from their parents even for just a couple hours so I aim to create a loving and supportive environment in which they feel cared for and secure in. I am also very passionate about learning so if I can help children grow and foster their intellectual and creative minds that is always a joy!

My experience with special needs children...

Through Singout! and the Peter Pan Foundation I have a lot of experience working with special needs children of all ages. I also know conversational sign language to communicate with hard of hearing or deaf children. I have previously worked in the pediatric ward of a psychiatric hospital during which I provided care for children with behavioral disorders. Currently, in my graduate program, I am receiving further specialized training on how to properly care for individuals of all ages with a variety of special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments working with kids are when they show me something they’re proud of. Whether it be a dance move, painting, good grades, etc. It is so amazing to see their faces light up with joy when they feel so proud of their accomplishments that they want to share that with me. It assures me that I am providing a positive environment for them that they value enough to then see me as an important person in their lives that they want to share things that bring them joy.

Hi! I’m a warm, responsible, and dependable caregiver with several years of childcare experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. I currently care for a young child, supporting daily routines, learning, and development. I hold a Bachelor’s degree, I’m CPR and First Aid certified, and I’ve completed childcare training courses. I love planning fun outings to playgrounds, libraries, museums, the zoo, and playdates that encourage learning and exploration. I’m patient, organized, and happy to help with meal preparation, children’s laundry, school pick-ups and drop-offs, bedtime routines, potty training, light housekeeping related to the children, and pet care.
