A little bit about us

Hi!

We’re looking for someone wonderful to help with our two kids after school three afternoons a week.

A little about us: We’re a family of four living in Bed-Stuy. My husband and I both work in the art world, and our two kids attend Arts & Letters. Our daughter is 6 and our son is 4. They love being outside, doing art projects, reading books, building things, and just playing together. We’re hoping to find someone who is warm, dependable, and genuinely enjoys spending time with kids.

The job would be three afternoons a week. We’d need you to pick the kids up from Arts & Letters at 2:40 p.m., walk them home to our house near Madison Street and Lewis Avenue, and hang out with them until around 6:00 p.m.

We’re looking for someone who can:

* Pick them up from school and walk them home
* Give them an afternoon snack and make a simple dinner
* Play with them, keep them busy, and help with homework if needed
* Occasionally do a load of the kids’ laundry
* Help tidy up at the end of the day and make sure the toys are put away

The pay is $20/hour for both kids.

We’re hoping to have someone start the second week of September when school begins, but we may also need some help a few afternoons during the last week of August and the first week of September if you’re available.

If you’re interested, I’d love to hear a little about you and your experience. Please send me a message, and we can set up a time to chat!
