A little bit about us

We’re looking for a part-time nanny/mother’s helper for about 4-6 weeks to care for our 2 year old little one.

Our current nanny, who is live-in, is going through a health issue which needs some attention. Because of this, she needs to change her schedule for a while, reducing her hours so her body can heal and recover. We adore her and want to support her, so in the interim we need to create the space for this and find someone wonderful who can come in the afternoons to take over from her with our gorgeous little girl, Goldie.

Days: Monday through Friday every week, afternoons only
Times: Monday & Wednesday 2pm-7pm (5hrs), Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 1pm-6pm
Hours weekly: 25 (5hrs daily)
Hourly rate: $25 p/h (one child only)
Start date: Immediate
Location: East Hampton

Requirements:
- Recent experience taking care of toddlers (2-3 year olds)
- Own transport / ability to drive
- Must live within daily driving distance back & forth to East Hampton
- Available until end of May
- Strong English (must be able to read books/stories, be a great communicator)
- Excellent references from at least 2 families with toddler-age children

Responsibilities include all of the general day-to-day needs of taking care of a happy, funny, curious, energetic 2 year old girl. Reading stories & books, imagination-led games, thinking of fun outdoor activities in nature (bug catching, treasure hunts, picnics, etc.), ability to be be playful and silly, being affectionate and loving, playdates, etc.

Some mother’s helper duties with light housekeeping such as loading/unloading the dishwasher, folding laundry, keeping shared spaces tidy, etc.needed while she finishes her nap between 1pm-2pm (though never while she is awake).

If this sounds perfect for you and you meet all of the requirements, please send me a message!
