A little bit about me

I graduated from Winona State with my Bachelor of Social Work in 2017. The past 5 years I have worked at Legacies in Winona, MN as a Designated Coordinator. I’ve worked with kids and adults of all ages and abilities, primarily those with trauma histories, mental health diagnoses, learning disabilities, cognitive delays, etc. It is a high paced job and I’ve gotten to work with many unique individuals. I have decided to go back to school for my Master’s in Teaching, K-6. The program is flexible in order to allow graduates to remain working full-time. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors on the river, hiking, etc. I also love to travel, but will not be doing so at this time due to COVID-19. I have seen first-hand the hardships that so many families are experiencing during COVID-19 and I hope to be of great support to your family.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a Social Worker, I cared for children between between the ages of 4 years old+. Approximately 75% of my caseload were individuals under the age of 14. I also volunteered in the pre-school room and day care at my local church throughout middle school-high school

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy story-time, reading, crafting, going for walks, educational activities, and more. I find it helpful to instill a sense of consistency, structure, and routine.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me, is being a reliable, consistent, and supportive caregiver to the families I work with. There is so much uncertainty in the world at this time, that if I can bring any sense of support and consistency into someone's life, I would be honored to do.

My experience with special needs children...

As a Social Worker, I worked with many children living with a diagnosed disability. Such disabilities include, but are not limited to PTSD, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment Disorders, Reactive Attachment Disorders, Autism, Down Syndrome, Mild to Severe Cognitive Delays, Personality Disorders, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when my most recent family had their 2nd child. I watched their 1 1/2 year old while the parents were in the hospital. The next day, I took him to meet his new little sister. It was the most amazing experience to witness.
