In college, I worked at an after school program as well as a Childcare facility throughout the school year and the summer with infants - school aged children. For the last 8 years I have worked with children, teens, and young adults (0 - 17years old) within the hospital setting.

A large population of the children I currently work with have who have complex medical conditions including brain, bone and movement disorders. This includes children who are nonverbal, have developmental delays, Cerebral Palsy, Rhett syndrome etc.

A large part of my everyday job includes assessing the developmental and social-emotional needs of children and young adults. Adapting my skills and knowledge in child development and play into each interaction allows me to meet the needs of each child I work with. I love seeing the creative, carefree, and explorative side each child has.
