"We hired Megan during the pandemic to take care of our two children (ages 1 and 4 at the time) and were happy that we did. Megan proved herself as responsible and friendly. She navigated online pre-school for my daughter while keeping my son occupied during that time. We felt comfortable during the pandemic having her in our home knowing she was being cautious and following covid safety protocols. The children were excited on days she would be coming and missed her when she was not there. She was very responsive to communication and pro-active with her scheduling. We would hire her again in a heart beat if we needed a nanny!"

The most important part about being a nanny for me is developing a kind, caring, and respectful relationship with the children I work with and their families. But also being someone parents/guardians/caregivers can trust.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with preschool aged children with special needs, to teenagers with special needs. I worked 1:1 as a special education paraprofessional implementing IEPs. I also worked directly with a young teenage child with Autism and Down Syndrome developing routines to encourage independent self care and life skills.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when I was taking care of two younger school aged children. We collected all of pillows and blankets and cushions in the house and built this enormous fort! We played in that thing for hours! We read lots of books, we played a game pretending it was an igloo and we had to go out and find food to bring home, we brought other toys like Lego’s inside and built. It will always be one of my favorite memories, though I have lots of favorite memories with all of the different children I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with!
