More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In addition to my years as a professional nanny, I’ve cared for children in many settings — from leading classrooms as a Children’s Director at a Church to supporting families as a babysitter and homeschool helper. These experiences have helped me understand how to create both fun and structure, encourage confidence, and meet the unique needs of every child.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love creating moments that make kids smile and learn at the same time! Some of my favorite activities include:
• Reading books and acting out stories together
• Exploring outside — walks, nature scavenger hunts, and park days
• Arts and crafts that spark creativity
• Singing, dancing, and music time
• Baking simple treats or making fun snacks
• Building forts and using imagination through play
• Learning activities that build confidence and curiosity

The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a genuine connection with the children and their family. It’s more than just helping with routines or activities — it’s about creating a safe, loving space where kids feel known, supported, and free to be themselves. I want every child I care for to feel seen, valued, and loved for exactly who they are.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with a variety of needs, including those on the autism spectrum and with ADD/ADHD. My approach is always patient, calm, and understanding — focusing on meeting each child where they are and celebrating their unique strengths. I value consistency, clear communication, and creating a supportive environment where every child feels seen, safe, and encouraged to thrive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite part of being a nanny has been watching the family I cared for grow and the kids get older. There’s something so special about seeing the little milestones — first steps, first words, first days of school — and knowing I played a small part in those moments. Watching them grow into their own personalities and still running up for hugs years later is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

Hello! My name is Anissa and I’m a caring, dependable, and patient individual with a strong background working with children. While I’m newer to nannying, I’ve spent several years in healthcare, including pediatrics, and have worked closely with children as a technician supporting kids with autism and mental health needs. I also grew up helping care for my three younger siblings, which naturally shaped my nurturing and responsible nature. I genuinely enjoy being around kids, helping them learn, and creating a positive, fun environment while also keeping structure and safety a priority!
