A little bit about me

My name is Megan and I am sixteen years old. I live on my own with a roommate. Previously I had been been helping take care of my grandma since I was eleven when she had a stroke that took away most of her motor and communication skills. I also worked at the Grace Fellowship Church nursery when I was 14 & 15. I have plenty of babysitting experience with my cousins and close family friends. I enjoy spending time with kids and I have a lot of energy so I don’t mind playing for awhile. I also enjoy writing and creating artwork so I have an active imagination. I have many small pets, dogs and cats too so I don’t mind caring for animals. I am an only child so I’m pretty used to cooking and wouldn’t mind doing that or cleaning either. My other job experience was working at Braums when I was fourteen for nine months before I quit because of the treatment and other concerns. I currently work at a veterinary clinic full time while doing online school but I am looking for a new job asap!

I worked part-time at Grace Fellowship Nursery a couple days a week when I was fourteen and fifteen. I also used to babysit.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I don’t have anything specific set in mind but I don’t really have anything that is off limits. I enjoy playing indoors or outdoors. I’m not great at video games but I’m always willing to try!

My experience with special needs children...

I don’t have any but my grandpa has worked in Lawton Public Schools for over forty years and this past year he’s worked with disabled children. I’m sure with specific instruction I would be able to help out though. My younger cousin has autism and I’ve always done fine with him but I know that can be a bit different from other things.
