I was a school teacher for over 25 years. In this time I taught all grade levels except K and 5th. I taught special education at the HS and MS level. I have also taught headstart for 3-4 year olds and worked in a daycare while going to school for my teaching degree. I have experience in curriculum development and planning. I have two grown sons. I’m looking forward to working with a great family and caring for and teaching their children while having fun through hands on activities and age appropriate/parent approved field trips.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Hands on fun/educational activities both indoor and out. Ex: making ubleck from Green Eggs and Ham story, making play dough, writing letters in shaving cream or flour, etc, walks outdoors, going to the park. I love taking children to a childrens museums. It’s so fun and the learn so much and don’t even realize it. Any other kind of fun, age appropriate, parent approved field trips.

I have taught students with all types and ranges of special needs including autistic and nonverbal students, Intellectually Deficient (ID), students with specific learning disabilities, and Emotionally Disturbed (ED) students.
