Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am currently working as a Pre K teacher at Sandpiper Nursery School. Previously this past fall I've been volunteering at a special education elementary school with 5th graders. This past summer I was a camp counselor at an all girls sleep-away camp in the Berkshires, living in a bunk with girls who finished 3rd grade. Prior to that I have helped a couple of families during the pandemic with their kids' Zoom schools providing recess breaks and playtime. I have also volunteered abroad in Peru with underprivileged children, and I've subbed, volunteered, and worked as a Teacher's Aide in a couple of my local daycares. WIth each position I have had, it has been most important for me to develop a relationship with each kid and the place I was working in/the parents.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy going to the beach with kids, getting ice cream, mini golf, bowling, anything outdoors, and just about anything kids enjoy doing!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love babysitting because it helps me build a relationship with one kid or a couple of kids at a time, and really get to know them. I also hope to become close to the family and keep in touch with the kids over the year.

I have worked and substituted as a classroom teacher in a special education elementary school in NYC this past fall for 8 months.
