With children, I love to help guide them in expressing themselves. This could be through art (painting, drawing, simple crafts), music related activities (singing, dancing, becoming familiar with instruments), or exploring their our backyard (identifying and remembering species of birds, plants, insects, and other animals).

The most important part about being a nanny in my eyes is creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for all types of kids regardless of age/gender/background/etc.

As a lifeguard and child care worker, a number of special needs children would be under my supervision. I have not worked one on one with any special needs child, though I have gotten comfortable and used to different communication, social, and daily lifestyle traits and habits.
