A little bit about me

I have been a homeschooling mom to my seven children for more than 25 years. My youngest has now graduated high school and it is time to bring my heart for children to serve other families! I love to be a part of helping the younger ones among us thrive through feeling seen, heard, and respected; and helping to guide them to grow into who they were meant to be.

Professionally, I cared for the children of others before my second child was born.

I have a degree in paralegal studies, and worked in that field for a time as well, but learned, however, that my interests are more aligned with being a caregiver.

I am CPR/First Aid certified. I am also fairly fluent in Spanish in case your children/family would like to practice or continue speaking the language.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy anything outdoors--parks, playgrounds, picnincs, walking, sports games, etc. I also enjoy other type outings that follow the children's interests such as libraries, museums, aquariums, etc. At home I enjoy crafts, learning projects/lessons, books, discovering interesting aspects of the natural world, and engaging in interests alongside young learners.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a nanny, keeping children safe and fed is important, but it is so much more than that. My work holds a crucial part of developing the whole person of each individual in my care. The stages of life that I, as a nanny, am honored to have a hand in is such a critical window in time. The minds of these children are being shaped and molded for better or for worse by the connecting of millions of neurons every hour. It is my goal as a nanny to make the most positive impact for good that I can in their lives. So goes the line by the great American poet William Ross Wallace, "The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world."
