A little bit about me

I've been supporting families as a nanny for over 10 years. I really enjoy being a nanny for children between the ages of 3 months-5 years because of my many years of experience in caring for them in a variety of settings and because of my degree in Early Childhood Education. My developmental and disciplinary childcare philosophies focus on providing choices to the children in my care with clear and consistent boundaries, which allows them to learn and grow from their own choices. When I care for babies, I follow their lead while supporting their development. I enjoy doing open-ended activites, singing, reading and outdoor play with the children in my care and feeding chilidren healthy food! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Besides being a nanny, I've worked in private and corporate day care and preschool settings and I was employed with an on-call agency providing care for children of all ages. I was the founder/coordinator of our preschool progam at a church I attended years ago.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy providing open-ended art activites, reading, singing, puppet playing, sensory activities and creativie play. I try to go with the interests of the children. Outdoor play is very important as well and I enjoy that too!!

Being an honest, caring, sensitive and dependable caregiver that supports famiies with the growth of their children. Making a difference in the lives of the familes we serve by the wonderful support we offer. And being with children; who are amazing!!

My experience with special needs children...

I provided respite care for families with children on the autism spectrum part-time by spending time with their children so they could enjoy a much deserved break.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There's so many..... A two year old boy I was caring for was driving his motorized tractor through his yard while he was reliving and reciting (laughing) a previous moment we had together where I was running behing him yelling, "a bug, a bug, STOP", while trying to get a bug that just flew down my shirt.
