A little bit about me

I started babysitting at the age of 14 to have extra money in school. At the age of 18. I had my first child who is now 21 and is a nurse at the middle hospital on Stewart ferry. I have a son that is 6, twins girls that are 5 now. So I know how to work with twins and also know how you have to separate them and let them have their own identity and I will work with those so if you have plans, I will be able to work with the twins. I have CPR training. I have worked with a special-needs children. I worked with a boy for two years that had special needs so I able to work with special needs children. I have over 10 years experience pretty much in this field. I also have babysitting or helped with my granddaughter. That is 5 now
So, as you can see, age group is not a problem, so I can help with newborns all the way up to teenagers. my availability is Monday days or nights Tuesdays I do not work at all on Tuesdays and the rest of the week I have to work anywhere from 6 AM to 3pm.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love having outside picnics I love doing venture hunts I love doing and playing card games. I love doing arts and crafts. I love any activities outside I love storytime I love making puppets and selling stories with the puppets. I love watching movies and doing different things that fit in the movie theme I also love playing dollhouse dolls with the little boys. I love being outside playing baseball softball any sport activities with boys is always fun I love getting to know kids just on their level and the things they like to do I had one little boy that likes watching so we used to do that all the time and look up different birds in a book and see if we could find them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To keep the kids safe to make sure they’re happy to give them the love and the care they need while their parents are not around to support their needs into growing to be better children and smarter kids and just to make sure that they’re in a safe environment, where they can get their needs meet

My experience with special needs children...

I took a special boy that had autism for three years. He was 14 years old. I also have daughters and one of my daughters was born with her heart in the outside of her chest. I have multiple surgeries and she is also a slow learner now that she has grown to be five years old, but I enjoy every minute of learning and getting to know how to teach her and work with her in life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It had to be the little boy that was three his name was James and his favorite activity was birdwatching. We went to the bookstore and got several different books on different kinds of birds and it would spin at least one day a week at the park or different outings and look for different type of birds and we would see if we could find the birds in the book and write down where we seen them when we seen them and what they was doing, it would always be so fun looking at his face when he was able to find a merge that was in the book. I just love that.
