My friends call me Mindy. I am looking for a part time job. I am a Yoga teacher and have been teaching for 5 years now. My passion is teaching Yoga to disabled adults, children in therapy for mental health issues, and adults diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I was a hairdresser for 25years before that and I raised my little sister who is 11 years younger than me, we are from CT. I have been in Florida for 15years! Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Yoga camp at Alliance for the Arts, teaching elementary age students Yoga. Teaching Yoga to kids of elementary age to teenagers who are in therapy for mental illness. Raised my younger sister from birth to age 12.. we were very bonded. I was the first to hold her in the hospital. Our mother was sick and not able to care for her.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Yoga, dancing, coloring, painting. Arts and crafts, meditation, reading, dolls, doing their hair (as I was a hairstylist for 25 years). Playing outside, Nature walks, swimming, kayaking, nap time, snacks, light meals. Baking 🍪 🍰

The most important part about being a nanny...

You have to be nurturing, compassionate, kind, gentle and patient. It’s also very important to keep their interest and whatever activities that you’re doing.

My experience with special needs children...

I taught a yoga class for about a year through the Alliance of the arts, for children, who were Autistic . We had a blast! 🧘‍♀️
