A little bit about me

Hi there! I’m a 24-year-old from Colombia, currently pursuing my MBA in Vancouver, and I’d love to find a part-time nanny role. I’m available Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends, aiming to work around 20 hours a week, with flexibility for nanny-share or live-out setups.

I have years of experience, including time as an au pair in the U.S. and as an assistant at a daycare in Oakridge, Vancouver. I genuinely love caring for children, connecting with them through reading, outdoor fun, and creative play. I’m CPR certified, and I hold a driver’s license from Colombia and the U.S., with my Vancouver license in progress.

Families I’ve worked with describe me as warm, responsible, and attentive—and I’m happy to share references! Please reach out if you’re looking for a caring, reliable nanny; I’d love to chat about how I can support your family!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a diverse range of experience caring for children in various settings. I worked as a kindergarten assistant, where I helped manage classroom activities and supported the children’s learning and development.

Additionally, I spent two years as an Au pair, living with a host family and providing full-time childcare. This experience allowed me to deeply understand the day-to-day needs of children and how to create a nurturing and supportive environment for them.

I also participated in a voluntary program where I taught children basic English. This role not only improved my teaching skills but also reinforced the importance of patience and creativity in engaging young learners.

Lastly, as an aunt of five, I have had plenty of hands-on experience caring for my nieces and nephews. This personal experience has been incredibly rewarding and has given me a deeper understanding of child development and family dynamics.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy a variety of activities with children that not only keep them active but also stimulate their minds and creativity. Playing outside is always a favorite, as it allows us to explore nature and enjoy the fresh air. We often go for walks or bike rides, which are great for physical exercise and for discovering new places together.

Creating games that challenge our logical thinking is another activity I love. These games not only entertain but also help develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Dancing and singing are also high on my list.

Trips to the library are a regular part of our routine, fostering a love for reading and learning. Playing sports is another way we stay active and learn about teamwork and perseverance.

As an active person, I thoroughly enjoy moving and playing with the children, fully immersing myself in the activities. This not only keeps them engaged but also helps build a strong, trusting relationship.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The best part about being a nanny is the genuine connection and love that children offer. Their ability to give their hearts so openly is incredibly touching and creates a bond that is both special and enduring.

Witnessing and being a part of their milestones is deeply rewarding. From their first words to their first steps, each achievement brings a sense of pride and fulfillment, knowing I played a role in their growth and development.

Another aspect I cherish is the mutual learning that occurs. While I teach and guide them, I also learn a great deal from their perspectives, creativity, and resilience. It’s a continuous exchange that enriches both our lives.

Lastly, being part of nurturing good people is incredibly gratifying. Contributing to their development into kind, curious, and confident individuals is a responsibility I take seriously and find immensely rewarding.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have experience with special needs children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was witnessing a baby grow and reach various milestones. I started by teaching her how to lay on her belly, which then progressed to crawling. Watching her transition from crawling to taking her first steps was incredibly rewarding. Now, seeing her ride her scooter super fast fills me with pride and joy, knowing I played a part in her development.

Additionally, I cherished the times we had our dance parties with the three kids I used to care for. We would sing and dance together, creating an environment filled with fun and laughter. Playing sports with them was another highlight, as it was a great way to encourage them to explore new activities and learn through play. These moments were not only enjoyable but also important in fostering their growth and confidence.
